Hey Y'all!

Another week here in the south comes and flies by! Especially since we have been having 70 degree weather all week and it sure did make Elder Hill happy:)

But this week was pretty memorable, made some mistakes, and made memories:)

Tuesday, we started the day off on bikes riding around, awkwardly waving at people in the cars because you cant tell if they are looking at you or not. Cars getting really close almost invading your personal bike bubble, and gripping to that white line and look at it as a tightrope you have to ride on. BUT we made it to our location and we tracted and visited some potentials in the area. No huge success, lots of people turning us away like we were the plague, but we taught a few people who were very appreciative of the service we render to the people here. We then later in the day went and provided some service for Rosemary Luby. If you remember that lady we walked in to last week we helped her spray her forest with poison Ivy spray and removed some large roots coming from, the forest into her backyard. Rosemary is one of the sweetest ladies I've every met and she treated us so nice! Right at the end of the service she said "thank you" probably 15 times before we left and with tears in her eyes she was in awe of two young men giving up two years of our lives to serving people and serving God. Very positive experience and we are hoping to introduce the Restoration this upcoming week and finish taking down a fence! We then drove up north to go see a lady named Jennifer Brumfield. This was my first time meeting Jennifer, she has been taught by missionaries in the past, but didn't like how bold the missionaries taught her was. She had many questions about baptism and we started off by reading Christs baptism in the book of Matthew and helped her understand the authority that John the Baptist had in baptizing Christ, and that being called of God is different than being called by men. We read with her 2 Nephi 31 with her and verse 7 really stood out to her where it says...

"Know ye not that he was holy? But notwithstanding he being holy, he showeth unto the children of men that,according to the flesh he humbleth himself before the Father, and witness unto the Father that he would be obedient unto him in keeping his commandments." The part where it says Christ had to humble himself before the Father hit her pretty hard. We explained that Christ, being perfect, didn't need to be baptized to return to live with Heavenly Father because he was perfect and sinless, but he did it so that he would be an example to all of us and show us that we NEED to be baptized to cleanse us of sin and sanctify us through the Holy Ghost. It was a great lesson and we all felt the spirit and she says she wants to be baptized after Halloween to renew herself, so we are excited to watch her testimony grow when we meet with her again. We ended the night off with a great English class talking about vocab words and similar words!

Wednesday, we went to the library for referral management time and learned a lot about the Atonement and the sacrifice by Christ. We later that day saw Brother Griener who has Lou Griggs disease and its hard for him to talk, but his testimony in Christ doesn't fade as his complication worsens, he knows the gospel is true. Talking with him always makes me grateful for all that I have and all that I've been blessed with and he is a really humble guy and I really feel for his situation. We tracted a lot that day and whenever you tract there are many things that can happen so you've always got to be on your toes, after getting rejected at the 1st door the next door we knocked on happened to be members who were very less active and they invited us right in. They don't want to be apart of the church anymore but they love what we do as missionaries and they took us in and chatted with us for a bit. Out of all the houses what are the chances we knock on two less active members wanting their names removed from the church. Maybe our visit will rekindle some feelings they had at the time of their conversion. We then tracted into this lady named Stacy who as soon as she opened her door I felt strongly about. We shared the Restoration with her and it just so happens that her aunt was coming into her home to stay with her that night and she is a member in Connecticut. So after she shared that with us we were like wow that's divine intervention, God works in mysterious ways so by us meeting her she will hopefully ask her aunt about the church and will turn to us for more investigation.We had bible class and ready in Mark 13 and learned a lot!

Thursday, we had ZTM in the morning and I gave a training on working with members and how we as missionaries can be more of a help and not a burden. IO talked about how bearing our testimony to members on something you've studied that day or how well they are doing in their calling will help us gain their trust which will help them feel comfortable in having us teach their friends or inviting us to have our investigators to come into their home. I wanted to put it to practice before ZTM so I could testify of what it can do and Bishop was looking burdened down at mutual and bore testimony to him of how well he does his calling and he really appreciated it and you could almost see his trust building in us. ZTM went really well and it was Elder Cannon's and Sister Dietz' last ZTM and so singing "God be with you til we meet again" was a tear jerker for them and for many of us in the room. I went on exchanges with Elder Dickson and had my eye appointment that day. Elder Dickson is such a great missionary and being how young he is you can tell he is truly dedicated to being here. You can tell he came out on his mission to seve the Lord and came on for the right reasons. So we could definitely get along in that way, he's really helped me look at how much my testimony has grown over the past year or so and look at how much happier I am having experienced all that I have experienced.

On Friday, we drove to Aiken, SC and exchanged back with Elder Weston and planned for a good majority of the day. Sister Porter dropped of some food for us so that's always a plus:) Planning sometimes is really hard for me just cause I see all the work to do in front of me and I just want to get it done, but Elder Weston is a diligent planner and its helped me have direction and purpose in the work which is what you need.

Saturday, funny story... so I learned a life lesson on this day... I learned that when you cook hard boiled eggs for 8 hours, it makes quite the mess, makes the apartment smell terrible, and you have to buy a new pot... So I was cooking some hard boiled eggs on Friday night and after working out and getting ready for bed I had forgotten about them and they were on a burner all night... So when we woke up on Saturday morning, we woke up to a STANKY apartment, a ruined pot, and eggs shells all over! The cleanup for the egg shells was nice and easy, but we aired out our apartment all day, put out bowls of vinegar to help get the smell out of the walls and sprayed fabreze everywhere! Cleaning it up I was just thinking of how bad it could've turned out, but it worked out in the end and it's all good! So moral of the story dont forget about stuff and cooking eggs for 8 hours can make for some VERY black eggs! It kind of worked to our advantage though because when we went to Frisbee,b ecause our shirts and shorts smelt like burnt eggs no one would guard us because we stank so bad that we both scored quite a bit haha:) Later that day, we had dinner at the Lawrys which was super good and great company! We had transfer calls that night and heard that Elder Weston and I would be staying here in Evans for another transfer together! So we will be together at least til the end of November and we are excited!!

Sunday, we had a great day at church, to be honest one of my favorite moments of the whole day was in ward council. The whole meeting had a purpose, it was spirit directed, and we got assignments made. All of us felt organized and could plan better for the upcoming months! Also because of the Teacher council meeting the missionaries were in the primary watching the kids, and we sang songs the primary kids would get stickers according to how well they sang. After it was over Sister Newell, said okay before the prayer go put all the stickers all over the missionaries. So picture 20 primary kids ambushing you with stickers...AHHHH! But we survived primary and made it out with only a few scrapes haha. But when we walked out with stickers all over our suits and face, it made for a great scene! I wish I got a picture but I didnt have my camera with me... So funny! Later that day we had dinner at the McKinneys and he was the guy who owned the trans am, he asked us if we could give him a blessing at the end of dinner and it was great being able to participate in the blessing!

Thanks y'all and I LOVE YOU!! Cant wait for another transfer here in Evans with Elder Weston! We will keep on keeping on!!

October 10, 2016 - Augusta / Evans, GA

Hey Y'all!

This week was quite eventful with hurricane Matthew hitting the coast of Florida, parts of Georgia and South Carolina. I'm sure you were watching the news and saw the destruction in Florida and to be honest I wasn't expecting the hurricane to cause that much damage in Florida. The Savannah zones were evacuated and went to Macon and worked in the areas surrounding there till the hurricane subsided. But Evans is pretty far in land and we didn't see much more than wind and rain. When it hit the coast we had MLC in Macon on Friday so we drove to Macon, had the meeting for the majority of the day, and drove back. The way back the wind and rain picked up quite a bit but it wasn't bad. The stake has asked for teams of 8-12 people from each ward to go and help with the relief effort and unless we are asked I don't think we will be able to help too much with that relief effort unless I get transferred to Savannah where it was damaged. In Evans we didn't really have any other affects other than it being really wet and chilly, so don't worry mom and Dad I'm safe:) I'm sure the missionaries down in Florida will have many service opportunities to help the people who dont have homes anymore.

On Monday night, We had some appointments fall through so instead of going somewhere different to try to see people we decided to walk around the neighborhood, it being 8:00and us not wanting to bother people with it being so dark. We started walking and we went and talked to this elderly lady who was exercising and we asked her if we could walk with her and talked to her about our church and her church. As she got to know us more she invited us to help her with some service that we set up for Thursday. She said that we were angels cause we walked her home and she was in awe that young people like us would help an old lady like her. We are excited to help her with some service and hopefully that service will lead to being able to teach her.

On Tuesday, we headed to North Augusta for District Meeting and exchanges. We had a great district meeting and learned more about teaching the people and not just teaching lessons. I learned a lot from all who was there. I went on exchanges with Elder Buckland back to Evans. We had a few appointments cancel that we were sure were going to work out, but at the last minute some appointments fell through and so we turned toward the backups. It was cool how the Spirit was prompting me to go see people that needed to be seen it was almost if God cleared our schedule up so that we could see these people. We stopped by a lady named Martini and as pulled up her daughter is going to be a swimmer in college pulled up and invited us to talk to her and her mom about the future and decisions they need to make. We talked about prayer and read Helaman 5:30 with her and helped understand how we recognize the spirit. We then went to go so an elderly lady we met a few weeks back. As we pulled up she was on her lawn chair with two other chairs in front of her. We got out of the van and asked her what the chairs were for and she said"you guys, I know y'all were gonna come today" I was in shock and I was like if that isn't God hand in the work I don't know what is. We taught the restoration and as we talked she told us about how she turned down a few preachers going door to door because she said" I want to study with the Mormons" I thought that was awesome and we are excited to work with Rachel. Keep her in your prayers. We ate dinner with the Gomez family and had papusa which is another thing I have to make yall when I get home from my mission soooo good!!

On Wednesday, we had to exchange back at 8:00 so we could make it back to Evans in time for Sister Dietz' last district meeting and to honor her mission we went to the Savannah river. It was the first day where it felt like you could have a coat on because of the pleasant cool breeze coming over the river. It was a memorable time looking back at her mission and how her parents were converted because a few missionaries endured to the end and acted on promptings. Way cool stuff! We tracted a lot during that day because a lot of appointments fell through and we met a lot of people who wanted nothing to do with us as well as people who were interested in knowing what we believe, but they didn't want those truths we believe to be apart of their own beliefs. As I've spent more and more time being a missionary and getting rejected and getting doors slammed in your face it doesn't diminish what I believe at all but more than that I just look at this opportunity that these people we meet pass up because they are "set in their ways" and don't want to change from being baptist, Presbyterian, baptist, Catholic, and baptist again.

On Thursday, the Fry's took us to Izumi's which is a Japaneze buffet where we tried all sorts of sushi and even octopus. It was such a fun time being with all the missionaries that serve here and talking with the Fry's. Brother Fry was trying to figure out if there was going to be a family of 8-10 people coming to stay in their home from being evacuated from the hurricane. Instead of using the church to house the 600+ evacuees coming from Florida the stake presidency asked various members if they'd being willing to house people. Over 50 people offered and they were prepared to house all those people. Later that day we went over to Rosemary's home and  she showed us around her property and talked with us. Because she didn't have the stuff we needed to help her with the service so we decided to come back the following week. We had dinner with the Shleton family where they told us about the devastation the hurricane was supposed to bring. So we were grateful for the information because without anyway to know what to prepare for you have to rely on members for information.

On Friday we set out to drive to Macon early in the morning to avoid any traffic from people being evacuated. Some missionaries were backed up in traffic for 6+ hours trying to make it to the meeting. On the way up it wasn't more than just rain and Macon is pretty far inland so during the meeting when you looked outside it was hard to believe that there was a hurricane approaching the coast. MLC was very insightful and we learned a lot about relationships with members, teaching people not lessons, and better ways to share the gospel with people. I always look forward to MLC because of the spirit there but also seeing old friends is fun too. Elder Memmott who I knew back in Waynesboro is going home on the 17th and I cant believe hes heading home. It just shows how fast time goes when you work hard. Anna Harrell and Chelsey came and surprised us after the meeting. She was a member from Columbus and it was great to catch up with the Godsquad:) We had to drive some people back to areas because we have a van. We started making the 3 hour drive back in the rain. 

On Saturday, it was raining when we woke up and Elder Weston and I had to go fill a baptismal font for a baptism that morning. So while the font was being filled I was able to play basketball for an hour or so which was very fun!! The baptism was for a boy named Matthew Newell. He was so special they even named a hurricane after him haha:) It was such a sweet baptism and while they were changing we watched "the coat" it is a true story about Heber J Grant https://www.mormonchannel.org/watch/collection/kids/the-coat-1 . Such a great message and selfless service is what the world needs today! In the afternoon we contacted a few referrals given to us by some members and built a few bonds within those families. We are excited to work with those families.

On Sunday, I'll just say it was a rough Sunday to fast, not really sure why but hopefully I'm growing or something like that:) The highlight of church was hearing Dan bear testimony about how we can build our family on Christ and that as a team we can accomplish many things. I am so proud of Dan and the decisions shes made to become more like Jesus Christ. That afternoon we stopped by a lady named Trisha. We haven't been able to visit Trisha in a while because she's been traveling to Idaho to take care of her Dad who's health is failing. She had to catch up with a bunch of things around the home from being gona and you could tell she was just burdened down and sad. I asked if we could say a prayer and in that prayer I prayed to help comfort Trisha that she will know that her Dad loves her and she loves her Dad. After a few more blessing we opened our eyes and she had tears in her eyes. It was great moment for her and a moment I'll always remember. After that we were tracting and there was a tree frog on a door and I decided to poke it so when the door opened it wouldn't fly into her home. When I tried to grab it it peed on me and I walked our the rest of the day with frog pee on me because I startled it haha. Later that day, We ended our fast at the Tippetts! Super good! We chatted with Justin Carabello that night answered his questions and invited him to Trunk or Treat. He wants to know more about the church and we are excited to continue to build his faith!

Hey Y'all! 

These past few weeks have been flying by and its crazy to realize its already October!

This past week has had lots of meetings, but I still learned a lot of how I can be a better disciple of Jesus Christ.

On Tuesday, we drove to Aiken, SC for exchanges with the Barnwell Elders. On the way there it was foggy outside and we drove through downtown Augusta and it was really cool to see skyscrapers again, it brought me back to Denver! During district meeting we did a fun activity where we played a game called "stump the bishop". Its where someone has brought random objects and the person has to apply the object to a gospel principle. The game is definitely harder than it looks  and depending on what object you get it can be very hard! I remember I got a garden gnome with a very smiley face holding a pumpkin, a wheat, and on the ground there was a squash. So the way that I applied this object to the gospel was I thought of the harvest and normally in the scriptures when it talks about the harvest its either talking about missionary work or the second coming. I looked at the pumpkin, squash, and the wheat and I applied it to the things we carry with us after this life are the knowledge we have gained, but we all bring are talents and abilities to offer for the world so that through our talents we can bring in more people to Christ. We all have many gifts from God and we need to use them. After district district meeting we headed through South Carolina through some very southern small towns and going through those towns it made you feel like it was about 20-30 years behind the world. All the cars were older, buildings were of a 50's style type and there were lots of kids on their bikes riding around town. We met a lot of people who rejected us, but we had a dinner with the Mccoys and had a great southern cooked meal with them. We went back to Barnwell and visited with a man who has overcame cancer twice and was searching for something more in life. We shared the Book of Mormon with him and helped him understand it more. We ended the day off with visited this elderly lady who just lost her sister. We comforted her and prayed with her and it seemed to help her out.

On Wednesday, we had our own District meeting in Evans and the whole district was really just down and out for no particular reason. We enjoyed our time together in the meeting and lunch. The highlight of the day was at night we were able to talk to Carolina O'reily where we invited her to watch General Conference this weekend and talked about prophets. The spirit really helped us understand the importance of a prophet and if God was the same yesterday, today, and forever then he would have prophets today. It really helped my mind become prepared for General Conference and I think that's one of the reasons why I got so much out of conference. We ended the night off by welcoming a new family into the ward by helping them move in. They are an awesome family and we are excited to get to know them a little bit more.

On Thursday, we were able to do a lot of service for Sister Barnes and during all the service we found many lizards and frogs that we took pictures with:) Sister Barnes made us some really good Cajun Chicken and I'm convinced that she makes the best rice in the world! Its sooo good!  A lot of Thursday was trying to find investigators and trying to help understand how we can best help the investigators that we do have. 

Friday, It was a pretty fun day:) So a year ago when I was in Waynesboro I remember that I was kind of upset when I found out that I was being transferred right before the stake wild game dinner in Evans. So it was cool how a year later they had that same dinner and I was able to be there, but better than that I was able to help setup for it but setting up tables, getting my domestic skills on by making table decorations and then following that we were invited to go use our manly meat carving skills while we carved a wild boar. So on both ends of the spectrum we helped prepare for this event that would happen that night. There was expected to be 600 people there and at least 200 of them were non members. We visited a few people and they all were pretty busy that day, but you never know what seeds you plant. We went to the wild game dinner and because it was a stake dinner a lot of the Waynesboro members came up to Evans. So I got to see Bishop and Sister Teel as well as other friends. There were soooo many people there and we also took a lot of food home with us which is always a plus!

Saturday/ Sunday, I've never been more excited about General conference before and I remember back when I was younger how I treated conference. I remember most times  the only thing that I really got out of conference were some really good cinnamon rolls, but now its one of the biggest spiritual boosts. We watched the first session at a home with a less active member. We had a bit of a hard time pulling the conference up on his tv, but with some fervent praying we brought it up. There were so many teaching moments I learned from conference, but one of my favorite talks was by Elder Uceda. As soon as they announced his name I was like I shook his hand, but his talk really brought the spirit into the room. His story about himself as a missionary where he almost fell off the Inca bridge but because one of his companions stayed back listening to a prompting he was able to pull him up to safety. There were so many different aspects of the talks that I enjoyed. Things that really stood out to me at conference on the Saturday sessions were

1. Dont look past the mark and only focus on the here and now. When your building a tower you've got to start at the foundation you cant build the highest point without building up to it. 

 

2. I also loved when K Brent Nattress talked about belief and knowledge where some people know its true, but do they still believe it? Do you willingly serve or do you treat your calling as a job you have to grudgingly do?

 

3.I loved the focus on missionary work by Dallin H. Oaks where he talked about how we can benefit from social media and find ways in our life that we can share the gospel.

 

4. M Russell Ballards talk about where will you go?  He will never abandon His Church and … He will never abandon any one of us. This church is true and we have to actively try and really try in this life and then thats where Christs grace comes in after all we can do. 

I don't have a lot of time this week, but know that I love you and thanks for everything you do for me!

Hey Y'all!

This past week was crazy busy!!! It was a very memorable week and I'm gonna tell you all about it!

This past week was one to remember!

On Monday night we had dinner with the Rivera family who live in Augusta. They made us some really good tamales and I always enjoy going over to their home because it's a very happy environment and we laugh alot! I'm not sure if you heard about the gas rupture in the Alabama oil line, but  because of the rupture there were lines of 5-6 cars at every pump in the Evans/Augusta area and we were worried about not being able to fuel up, we had a half tank left and it was about 9:30 and we decided to go home and wait in the morning to see what we should do. We ended up finding a gas station on Tuesday morning but at least 4-5 gas stations were out of gas. We believe that the shortage is over now, but the gas prices here are just a little bit more expensive than they normally are.

On Tuesday, we planned on going on exchanges with the Stevens Creek Elders and we picked up a member to come with who is waiting for his mission call. We exchanged with them and I was with Elder Hooley on a bike for the day. Elder Hooley is fresh out of the MTC so I felt like I was training again haha. In the Stevens Creek area there is lots of construction and cars are literally on your hip the whole road. We stopped on a side road to check where we were going and this guy rolled down his window, reached over and yelled to us "GOD BLESS YOU!" We were caught off guard and looked up and he went off the road and hit 4-5 orange construction cones. It all just kind of happened really fast and we were like... alright. We went to our street we were going to knock and had some really good success. We found at least 4-5 new investigators and had a really solid lesson with a lady named Valerie. The lesson really hit home with them and they have alot of potential. A lot of fear of talking to people on your mission or to people in general, can be alleviated if you're just bold and courageous. The worst thing that someone can say to you is no thanks, I'm good. Satan wants you to think that its not the right moment or it will be awkward when really the moment is then and now to share the gospel. Sometimes you just got to do it and trust yourself:) We returned home as two really sweaty missionaries and we went back on that same road after dinner to talk to a few more people. We visited with a less active that night where we got talking about p-90x and he said he'd order me one and I'd reimburse him. It was only 20$ and I had some money sent to me from a member in Lanett, Alabama that I was holding onto. So he got me the DVD's and I'm excited to use them haha:)

On Wednesday, we helped Sister Morris with some service and helped her with a trial she was going through where she is selling her home in Big Canoe, GA and she is nervous about the future. The answers and scriptures we shared with her really seemed to help her cope with the time she is having in her life. The best highlight of the day though was later that night. We have an investigator named Madison Boswell, who isnt a member yet of the church because her parents told her she has to wait til she is 18, but in the meantime she has been going around to local churches sharing an Article of Faith presentation to local pastors. She has been getting alot of attention and was asked by a HUGE Methodist church right next door to our church to present this to a class of 60-70 people. Madison had asked us to come and help her answer any questions the people may have had. Madison did a great job presenting and answered multiple questions the audience had. We were watching from the back and were invited to come forward to answer more questions about missionary work and the message we have. So we stoof up on the stage in front of 60-70 people and preached about the church!! Many people came up and wanted to know more and appreciated the information. Many seeds were planted and it was quite the experience:) We were so proud of her and the Spirit definitely bore witness to everyone there. Whether they act on it is their choice, but the only thing we can do is invite. It was a really awesome experience!

On Thursday, we had a meeting with our whole  zone called ZTM. In every meeting that we have as missionaries its cool to see how the spirit directs people comments and usually there are 2-3 topics that are pretty common throughout the meeting. One of them this time was the Book of Mormon and the importance of it. My training went really well and I had a pretty cool idea for my training. So there were these mexican fruits that we had at a dinner and they gave them to us to try. They look like they are something from the sea and doesnt look like anything you'd want to eat, but on the inside is a really sweet fruit that tastes like a pear. I used this as how people view the Book of Mormon where it look like they want to have nothing to do with it, but when they are shown how to eat it they enjoy it. The fruit is called a leach and instead of useing the words "Book of Mormon" I used the word leach. So it sounded pretty funny when I would say 'This leach has blessed my life so much and its meant so much to me" It was a n interesting excersise in how we introduce the Book of Mormon and how people view it at first. You have to show people why its important and the only way they can know is through the Spirit. It was a great meeting and I really learned alot! We had a great dinner with a member that night and met with a part member family where theDad just had his 10th surgery on his knee and it was great getting to know him:)

On Friday, we planned, BUT we had a really memorable move with all the Elders here. We were helping move a less active to Aiken. They had a TON of stuff and not that big of a trailer. You know how Georgia has like 100% himidty all the time... well in this truck it was about 200% and I was in it lifting havy boxes for 3 hours so you could guess how sweaty we all were haha. It's funny what little tips and tricks you learn on your mission from moving people so much like. You cant pick up a washer without a dolly but a dryer is light enough to where you can.  But we helped them out and it was great to provide some service for people. Later that night we hada child of record baptism for a young lady named Lizabeth. Elder Monsen baptized her and it was a really cool experience and it definitely prepped  my mind for Dans baptism on Saturday.

On Saturday, it was my 15 month mark and both Elder Weston and I had a seniority moment and were like were becoming old guys and it was exciting but also you're like where did all that time go! We played frisbee at Lady A park and got my competitiveness out of me for the week. It was alot of fun! We tried to go visit people before prepping Dans baptism , but no one answered their door. Dans baptism was such a great experience. So many family and friends of the Urbanawiz family came and supported her and the Spirit was so strong because you knew how much she believes in the gospel. The whole process has strengthened my own testimony o f acting on those small and simple propmtings. If I wouldnt have asked her if she wanted to know more about the church she probably wouldnt have been baptized this fast, but because I acted she wanted to know and with the help of many members we were able to see her enter the waters of baptism! Dans was so excited and she expressed so much thanks towards us and to everyone that supported her through her investigation! We are sooo excited for her! She is going to do baptisms for the dead in a few weeks for her grandma which is what this gospel is all about!  Later that night we had dinner with the Murphys and had a good dinner and shared good company:)

Sunday, we were able to be apart of the confirmation of Dan. After Sacrament meeting Dan seemed so happy and she wanted to share her testimony with everone she saw! She is going to be a great benefit to the Lords team! Sacrament was a really good meeting where we talked about how to prepare for General Conference and it got me all ready and excited for that time:) We helped out in Primary watch over the kids and sang a song called Gethsemane and it was a really spiritual moment and I havent heard that song before but it was really cool! We had alot of zone things to figure out that day and we sent alot of texts that day too! We ate lunch with the Gomez and answered some questions of what missionaries like in their packages from home as her son just left to California on his mission. Later that afternoon we had to drop off a bag to Willie Render and when we were there this homeless lady came up to us and talked to us about her situation. She didnt have anywhere to go, no hope, no faith, and she was just very beaten down. As missionaries its not our place to provide anything for her besides spiritual strength after reading some scriptures with her she felt better but she was still worried about her physical needs. We told her that there really isnt anything we can do because we are just missionaries, but a local church might be able to help you with that. Dealing with that situation was so hard because I wanted to help her really bad but I had my hands tied around my back and couldn't do much. It was a really cool and spiritual Sunday and I am soo happy for Dan and everything that she will do for the world!

The church is true and I know that acting on those small and simple things it will bring about great miracles!! I LOVE Y"ALL
